CHENNAI: Two wheeler manufacturer India Yamaha Motor, 100% subsidiary of Japan's Yamaha Motor Corporation, aims to achieve a double digit market share in the current financial year, according to a company official.

"Including all our two wheelers, we are having a market share of six% (across the country) now. This year we are aiming to reach at least 10%," India Yamaha Motor Zonal Business Head (South) Roy Kurian told reporters here on Thursday.

He said the company is also aiming to increase its market share in the southern region.
