The E-Class followed by the C-Class continue to be growth drivers for Mercedes in India.

Mercedes-Benz continues its successful run in India, largely driven by the sales of its popular E-Class and C-Class luxury sedan offerings, which have managed to sell 251 units and 156 units respectively in the month of November.

November turned out to be a good month overall for the German carmaker with a total wholesale of 518 units in the same period. This is a jump of 89 percent as compared to November 2009 (275 units).

Thanks to its exceptional performance in the month of November alone, Mercedes-Benz India has achieved a record wholesale figure for the period Jan-Nov 2010m which now stands at 5416 units. This is again an 86 per cent growth over the same period of 2009 (Jan ? Nov 2009 {291 units}).

The SUVs GL-Class and M-Class continued their popularity run selling a total of 49 units, thus bringing up the SUV wholesale total for Jan-Nov 2010 to 375 units.

Having clocked its best-ever sales figures in the month of November this year, Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India commented, "Our strategy for the Indian market has been focused upon offering a comprehensive product portfolio, and delivering the highest value to the customer, thus ensuring world class sales, after sales and vehicle ownership experience."

Recovering from a bleak demand for their cars in the year 2009, Mercedes-Benz India is now working hard to meet the growing demand for its cars this year around, something even they had not anticipated in their 2010 production planning.
