Ford India posts 35 percent growth in February 2009


New Delhi, March 9, 2009: Ford India registered a healthy 35% growth in month-on-month sales in February 2009 with 2636 cars sold in February against the 1956 units sold in January 2009.


In addition the company posted an 8% growth in year-on-year growth compared to February last year.


The new Ford Ikon continues to impress the entry level mid size segment customers, with dealerships across India seeing consistent bookings.


Timothy Tucker, vice president, sales, Ford India said, “Our product strategy that was set in motion in 2008 with the launch of the new versions of the Endeavour, Fiesta and Ikon has started to pay off as we move into 2009.
