New Delhi, October 01, 2009: Hero Honda Motors Ltd (HHML), the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has yet again set another milestone, as it recorded sales of more than a million units for the second consecutive quarter.
Hero Honda closed the second quarter (July-September) of this Financial Year (FY’10), with sales of 11,83,235 units of two-wheelers, a growth of 21.7 per cent over the corresponding period (July-September, FY’09). This comes close on the heels of its record 11,18,987 unit sales in the first quarter (April-June) this FY – the first time Hero Honda crossed a million unit sales in a quarter.
Continuing with its customer-focused strategy, the company recorded despatch sales of more than four lakhs for the second consecutive month. The company posted sales of 4,01,290 units in the month of September. Hero Honda had sold 3,85,262 units of two-wheelers in September 2008.
